This simple DIY will inspire you and add some color to your space.
You will need:
- A Blank Canvas
- Hot Glue Gun
- A Quote (I found mine on Pinterest)
Find a quote that inspires you, then practice writing it on a piece of paper
This is optional…Outline your writing with Sharpie
Place the paper onto the canvas to see how much space the quote occupies. Adjust if needed.
Cut around the quote leaving some space around the words
Place your quote onto the canvas and trace around it, leaving some extra space.
Peel your crayons. I used 11 but you can use many as you like, the more the merrier.
Layout the crayons as desired, remembering where the quote outline is on the canvas. Take a picture so you can see your desired layout…it will come in handy later…trust me
Carefully hot glue the crayons onto your canvas, refer to your picture if needed.
Tape your newspapers down and melt the crayons. *WARNING* DO NOT do this while various appliances are on, it could cause a blown fuse. It happened to me. DON’T DO IT. Stop every 5-10 minutes to prevent this. Melt crayons to your liking.
Write your quote-first in pencil then going over it in Sharpie-on the canvas. If you make a mistake, use White-Out or white paint to fix it.
