“The Bean” or a Cloud Gate

Pictured above: The famous Chicago Bean….but did you know that’s not its real name? It’s actually called the Cloud Gate because it reflects the beautiful skyline of the Windy City…interesting right?

Despite its formal name…many people still call it “The Bean”. It may be a bean but a bean with a beautiful Cloud Gate.

You will need:

  • Lace (Ribbon works too)
  • Fake Flowers
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Ruler and Measuring Tape
  • Scissors
  • Felt

Steps:

  1. Cut out a piece of lace 25 inches long.
  2. Then cut out a strip of felt 6” x 2”
  3. Using the measuring tape, find the middle of both pieces (felt and lace) mark with a pen, if needed.
  4. Line up the middle marks and place the felt under the lace.
  5. Arrange your flowers in the desired order
  6. Hot glue your flowers in place…add more flowers to achieve your desired fullness. I used 6 flowers.
